Our Pastor
Brian Haas, Lead Pastor
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Brian pursued his education at Kentucky Christian University, where he met his wife, Becky. With a heart for ministry, they served in Sacramento, CA, for seven years before relocating to North Georgia to launch Local Church Dawson. Beyond his pastoral role, Brian actively participates in local initiatives, including being part of the Rotary of Dawson County and a board member of the Dawson County Chamber of Commerce. Together with Becky, who is a Kindergarten paraprofessional at Chestatee Elementary, they celebrate 15 years of marriage and are blessed with three children, Connor, Cole, and Collins, along with their furry companion, Cooper.

Led by our on-site Local Pastor, Brian Haas, we foster a culture of community that extends beyond Sundays. We offer Biblical teaching, engagement in our local community, and genuine worship. Join our close-knit church family, where we are committed to supporting each other in our unique next steps in fully following Jesus.
Our History
- July 2014: Brian and Becky moved to North Georgia
- September 7, 2014: Mountain Lake Church Dawson officially launched.
- (We were portable and started meeting in the Dawson movie theater on hwy 400)
- 2017: Moved from the movie theater to a larger warehouse on 31 Successful Way.
- 2019: We outgrew the warehouse space and began plans to expand.
- 2020: Mountain Lake Church Dawson was renamed to Local Church Dawson.
- 2021: We launched the “God’s Not Done Yet Building Campaign” to raise funds to expand our church facility.
- 2022: Construction started on the expansion and remodel of the warehouse.
- 2023: Grand Opening of the expansion and remodel.
