As we continue our new series “Because of God…”, we’re reminded that our generosity begins with Him. We can live and give generously because of the grace He has already given us.
Because of God…A heart of generosity
In the new series “Because of God…”, we are reminded that we are generous because of God and His grace at work in us.
We all have the desire to be generous, yet we often encounter roadblocks that keep us from living it out. In Paul’s letter to the Corinthians, he points to the churches in Macedonia. Though they were experiencing suffering and deep poverty, they were filled with joy and overflowed in generosity.
Genesis: In The Beginning : Sin, Shame and The Savior (Part 5)
As we conclude our journey through Genesis 1–3, we see God revealed as both our Creator and our good and loving Heavenly Father. In Genesis 3, sin enters the world, yet what stands out most is God’s response. Rather than condemnation, His first words are a tender invitation: “Where are you?”…the voice of a Father pursuing His children.
Genesis: In the Beginning : Rest (Part 4)
In Genesis 2:1–3, we see that Sabbath rest is woven into the very fabric of creation. God rested, not because He was tired, but to establish a rhythm for His people. As we studied this passage, we discovered that rest is more than taking a break; it’s an act of trust. It’s recognizing our human limitations and finding our deepest satisfaction in God’s presence. The boundaries God sets are not meant to restrict us, but to protect us and help us flourish. God sets the pace we are meant to follow.
